We Aren’t Just Providing Senior Care, We’re Building Relationships

Exceptional Care is Worth It

Sue worked with Montcordia to assist with two different situations: for her mother-in-law and then for her own mother. Sue’s mother-in-law had had a bad experience with a different agency that left her nervous about a caregiver coming into her home. Montcordia started slowly with smaller increments of time to make Mrs. Lutman comfortable. Mrs. Lutman became relaxed, which brought ease to the whole family.

Sue said, “The difference between Montcordia and other agencies is that you can customize the care. Everyone that has come into the door has provided top-notch care. We learned the hard way that cheaper isn’t always better. The ease of knowing your family is getting exceptional care is worth it."

Going Above & Beyond

Mrs. Sharpe and Rebekka have established a wonderful relationship. Rebekka takes care of light housekeeping, pet care for her cat, and overall companionship. Rebekka knows her client loves to shop, so she frequently takes her out to lunch and Nordstrom’s for a shopping trip. They have gotten incredibly close. Rebekka goes above and beyond by bringing her flowers and other treats on a regular basis to brighten Mrs. Sharpe’s day.

Incredibly Grateful

Our client “Mr. Z” enjoys his visits from Kiara, a Montcordia Care Partner, due to his wife’s busy work schedule and his need for a companion while she is away. Mr. Z had a strong desire to sell his old textbooks, so Kiara did not hesitate to help him organize, research their values, and take him from bookstore to bookstore in order to help him accomplish his goal. Mr. Z and his wife are incredibly grateful for the efforts that Kiara has made, not only spending time with him but also tailoring their visits to his specific interests. The experiences are crafted, so that Mr. Z’s wishes are prioritized and enjoyed.

Creating Tailored Experiences

“Mr. D” has had an incredible ongoing experience with Montcordia. Mr. D has a traumatic brain injury, and his care approach is tailored to ensure success for him each day. His Care Partner, Kianna, makes it a priority to call him each morning and run through his schedule with him, regardless of whether she has a visit scheduled with him that day or not. He had the desire to get back to work, so Kianna did research for local volunteer opportunities in his area. She schedules him, transports him, and accompanies him to his volunteer shifts in the community. She also schedules museum visits for the two of them to go out and spend an afternoon exploring.

“Clients are able to live in their home safely because of Montcordia's attention to detail.”

Living Life to the Fullest

Vivian is so grateful for her Care Manager, Anne. Anne has gone above and beyond for Vivian and they have a phenomenal relationship. They regularly dine out and have spent many afternoons exploring DC together from museums to landmarks to the cherry blossoms! Anne has held Vivian’s hand while attending funerals of her loved ones and been a true companion for her during difficult times. Vivian loves showing off her hometown to Anne and telling her stories of the places that are so familiar and dear to her heart. Vivian describes Anne as someone that is allowing her to do so many things she thought she would never be able to do again.

Building Relationships

Anne is passionate about client care. She works around the clock to be available to her clients and their families. Anne has received calls from clients in the middle of the night on multiple occasions, and she always answers. “We aren’t just providing a service. We’re building a relationship," says Anne of the Montcordia approach.

Anne had a client that called her at 2:45 AM and needed a ride home from the emergency room. Without hesitation, Anne told him she was on the way. She dealt with many obstacles that evening to ensure he got home safely. Clients are able to live in their homes safely because of her attention to detail.

She arranges dinner deliveries for many clients, rubs their feet with lotion if they need some extra attention, and prepares dinner if needed. Anne believes the human connection is at the center of all she does.

"Montcordia is unlike any other care we have ever received. They take the time to ensure that clients are comfortable."
